Hario V60 RecipeUpdated a year ago
Manufactured by the Japanese company Hario, the “V60” in the name refers to the shape (V) and the angle of slope (60°). The V60 has a couple of features that make it different from other pour over methods:
- Curved grooves. The intention of these is to create motion during the brewing process, providing agitation and even extraction. These grooves do, however, create the potential for channeling and therefore unintentional bypass.
- A relatively large opening. V60 grind size is generally slightly finer to slow the flow of water.
