With the help of our friends at Burlap & Barrel, we reimagined a seasonal favorite featured at our Brooklyn cafes in 2025. The Pumpkin Pie Latte is our twist on the classic pumpkin latte, and Burlap & Barrel's spices became a clear choice to enhance this drink's essential components even further.
Seasonal drinks are always a memorable and creative extension of the cafe experience for our customers and community, and we're grateful for the opportunity to partner with Burlap & Barrel. When brewed on espresso, Elevate's sweet notes of red apple, caramel, and pecan pie are the perfect complement to amplify the warming spices in the Pumpkin Pie Latte Syrup.
Ingredients
- Syrup Ingredients (~4 cups)
- 200g pumpkin puree
- 300g white sugar
- 100g brown sugar
- 4g vanilla extract
- 6g Burlap & Barrel Royal Cinnamon
- 3g Burlap & Barrel Ground Grenada Gold Nutmeg
- 2g Burlap & Barrel Buffalo Ginger
- 1g Burlap & Barrel Ground Pemba Clove
- 500g hot water
- Drink Ingredients
- 25g Pumpkin Pie Syrup
- 2oz espresso
- 6oz steamed milk/alt m*lk
- Burlap & Barrel Toasted Pepita Pumpkin Spice
Directions
- Syrup Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat
- Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning
- Remove from heat and let cool completely
- Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate until ready to use
- Drink Directions
- Iced Preparation
- Thoroughly mix espresso and Pumpkin Pie Syrup until combined
- Set espresso mixture aside
- Fill serving glass with ice
- Add milk
- Top with espresso mixture
- Gently stir to combine
- Garnish with a dusting of Burlap & Barrel’s Toasted Pepita Pumpkin Spice

- Hot Preparation
- In a mug, thoroughly mix espresso and Pumpkin Pie Syrup until combined
- Gently pour steamed milk/alt m*lk into espresso mixture and layer to create latte art (if desired)
- Top with a dusting of Burlap & Barrel’s Toasted Pepita Pumpkin Spice
