Enjoy this intensely refreshing espresso tonic at home! This recipe combines orange blossom simple syrup, tonic water, espresso, and a candied orange peel garnish to make the perfect spring drink.
Ingredients
- Syrup Ingredients (~3 Cups)
- 300g white sugar
- 300g hot water
- 150g orange blossom water
- Garnish Ingredients
- 1 slice candied orange peel
- Drink Ingredients
- Double shot espresso (~36 grams)
- 15g Orange Blossom Syrup
- 150ml tonic water
- Ice
- Garnish
Directions
- Syrup Directions
- Combine sugar and hot water, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved
- Add orange blossom water and stir to combine
- Let cool to room temperature
- Transfer to sealed container and store under refrigeration until ready to use
- Drink Directions
- Add prepared syrup to an empty 12oz glass
- Top with tonic water and stir gently to combine
- Add ice until cup is nearly full
- Slowly top with espresso (combining too quickly will cause the drink to foam and overflow)
