Espresso brewing can be a tricky skill to master, so we've provided our easy-to-follow recipe as a great base to build from and edit to fit one's own taste preferences.


  • Servings: 1 person
  • Ratio: 1:2
  • Grind: Fine
  • Coffee: 18g
  • Time: 28-30s
  • Yield: 32-36g


  1. Add 18g fine ground coffee to portafilter
  2. Evenly distribute coffee bed
  3. Tamp
  4. Begin brewing espresso shot and start timer
  5. Stop brewing espresso shot at 28-30s
  6. Discard used grounds
  7. Enjoy!
