Aeropress RecipeUpdated 5 months ago

The Aeropress has become popular for use with some of the best specialty coffee, and was, in fact, created by toy manufacturer Aerobie (we take this as a reminder that we should be having fun with coffee!). This brew method combines filter brewing with full immersion, as well as the addition of manual pressure. Coffee brews in a plastic chamber, and is then forced by a plunger to pass through a paper filter at the end of the chamber. Aeropress brews a more concentrated
cup than most filter methods, producing a clear, more concentrated cup of coffee- perfect for tasting everything a coffee selection has to offer.

  • Servings: 1 person
  • Coffee: 17g
  • Grind: Medium-Fine
  • Water: 255g
  • Water Temp: 195-205°F
  • Ratio: 1:15
  • Brew Time: 2:00 min

  1. Pre-wet filter and screw on chamber
  2. Add 17g medium-fine ground coffee into chamber
  3. Slowly pour 30g hot water over coffee grounds
  4. Stir and let "bloom" for 40 seconds
  5. Slowly pour remaining 225g of water
  6. Carefully insert top plunger into top chamber
  7. At 2:00 press down plunger for 30s until hissing
  8. Discard used filter and grounds
  9. Enjoy!
